A full 2 m × 1 m ebb and flow tray built from UV-resistant virgin plastic, designed to sit on matching aluminium grow tables for a fully waterproof growing surface. Ideal for any grower running a flood-and-drain or drip system on a grow rack.
At 2 m × 1 m this tray is sized for serious production. It fits neatly on G-Tools aluminium grow tables, which are engineered specifically to support it. Together they create a level, watertight platform that can hold many pots without flex or leakage. The pairing is worth investing in if you are building a permanent multi-tier rack setup.
The tray works in a classic ebb and flow cycle. A pump floods the tray with nutrient solution at timed intervals. Roots absorb the solution through holes in the base of each pot. When the pump stops, the solution drains back to the reservoir. As it recedes, fresh oxygen is pulled down into the growing medium. This cycle drives healthy root development and consistent uptake without constant monitoring.
Prefer drip irrigation? Run your supply line and drippers over the tray and use a single lead-through for drainage. Because the gutters channel all runoff to one deep drainage point, even uneven watering leaves no standing puddles. Standard PVC push-fit or threaded couplings connect straight to the drainage point, so you are not tied to proprietary fittings.
The tray ships without lead-throughs deliberately. Flood-and-drain setups typically need at least two fittings - inlet and overflow - while drip systems need only one outlet. Buying fittings separately means you pay only for what your system actually requires. Add at least one overflow fitting if you run timed flood cycles; it is the simplest safeguard against pump timer errors.
Grower’s Note: In a flood-and-drain system, set your flood depth so the nutrient solution reaches no higher than two-thirds up your pots. Flooding too deep can saturate the upper root zone and reduce oxygen exchange. Keep flood cycles shorter during propagation and extend them gradually as plants mature and substrate dries more quickly. Always test your pump timer and overflow height before leaving the system unattended.
