This 8x6 Plus kit has individual pots for bushy crops and paired pots for climbing crops. Four 1Pot trays each hold a 15L pot. Four easy2grow trays hold eight 8.5L pots, with one Tray2Grow module alongside them.

Tray2Grow and easy2grow modules share the layout of this greenhouse watering kit. For an 8x6 greenhouse, the AutoPot automatic greenhouse irrigation system suits propagation alongside salads and climbing crops.

The 1Pot trays suit peppers, chillies and aubergines. Use the easy2grow trays for tomatoes, cucumbers and melons. Tray2Grow accepts pots, seed trays, grow bags or a compatible fabric planter.

Water flows by gravity from a separate water butt or reservoir. The system needs no pump or electricity.

AQUAvalve5 lets a shallow 20mm layer of water into each tray and then closes. It opens again after the plants use the water. This controls tray watering automatically.

What you still need

A 30L reservoir, lid and grommet are included. You also need one separate external water butt or reservoir with at least 200L capacity. That external water butt or reservoir is not included.

Add seed trays, grow bags or a compatible fabric planter separately if you use these with Tray2Grow.

We recommend allowing space for any reservoir kept inside the greenhouse. You may need to remove one or two modules.

How to set it up

  1. Place the modules on a firm, level surface. Check that each tray sits flat.
  2. Position the external water butt or reservoir 150mm / 6 inches above the system.
  3. Water plants by hand when first potted up. Give roots 7-28 days to establish before switching on the system.
  4. Flush the pipework every week.
