G-Tools Height Extension Set for Modular Grow Rack 2 x 0.8

This extension set adds one complete growing tier to the G-Tools 2 x 0.8 modular rack, raising total height by 405mm per level. It suits any grower who wants more canopy space without increasing their room's floor footprint.

Vertical growing is the most efficient way to increase yield inside a fixed room. Each G-Tools height extension set gives you an additional 405mm of usable growing height on your existing 2 x 0.8 rack. Stack two extensions and you gain over 800mm of extra grow space above the base unit - all within the same 2 x 0.8 floor area.

The set ships with four uprights and a purpose-built frame that accepts the standard 2 x 0.8 ebb and flow tray. Critically, that frame also provides fixing points for the lighting that illuminates the tier directly below. This means each extension integrates the structural and electrical layout in one step - no need to engineer separate lamp hangers.

Because the system is genuinely modular, you are not committed to a fixed number of tiers. Add one extension now and another later as your production demands grow. G-Tools publish PPFD data for their compatible lamps at each tier height, so you can match your Sanlight or other LED to the crop and layer before you buy.

Pair this extension with a correctly sized Sanlight LED for each tier. Sanlight's EVO and Q-series are well suited to the 2 x 0.8 footprint, and their slim profiles leave adequate headroom between canopy and lamp even within a 405mm tier gap. Plan your lamp-to-canopy distance before finalising how many extensions to order.

Grower’s Note: With multiple tiers, heat management becomes critical. Warm air rises and the upper tier will always run hotter. Use a dedicated thermometer at each level and ensure your extraction system can handle the combined heat load of all lamps. A vertical temperature differential of more than 3-4°C between tiers usually signals insufficient airflow and will hurt plant performance on upper levels.
