G-Tools Height Extension Set for Modular Grow Rack 1.1 x 1m

This extension set lets you stack an additional growing level onto your existing G-Tools 1.1 x 1m modular rack. It suits growers who are tight on floor space but have ceiling height to spare.

Floor space is the limiting factor in most UK grow rooms. Vertical expansion is the practical answer. Each extension set adds a full 405mm of usable height and a complete new growing tier, so you increase canopy area without taking up a single extra centimetre of floor.

The set includes four uprights and a full frame built to accept the 1.1 x 1m ebb and flow tray. The frame cross-members also serve as attachment points for the lighting that illuminates the tier directly below. That dual function keeps the structure clean and reduces the number of hanging points you need to rig independently.

Because the system is genuinely modular, you can keep adding extension sets as long as your ceiling permits. Plan your stack around your chosen light source and strain height. Low, wide cultivars suit tighter tier spacing; taller varieties need more clearance between levels. Check PPFD data for your specific lamp before fixing tier height - G-Tools publish figures for each compatible light type.

This extension set pairs naturally with Sanlight LED panels, which run cool and slim, maximising the usable grow height within each 405mm tier. A thinner luminaire means more of that 405mm goes to the plant canopy rather than the fitting itself. Climate control matters more as tiers increase - factor in extraction capacity in m³/h when planning a three- or four-tier stack.

Grower’s Note: In a multi-tier rack, VPD management becomes more demanding at each level. Heat and humidity stratify: the top tier runs warmer and drier, the bottom tier cooler and more humid. Use clip fans at every level to break up these gradients, and monitor each tier individually if possible. Plan your irrigation run-off carefully too - ebb and flow trays on upper tiers need drainage routes that do not saturate lower canopies.
