Plants grow faster than expected. It's one of the most common problems in a sealed cabinet. A vigorous indica can close the gap between canopy and light within days. With this extension set fitted, you have 232cm of total height to work with. That margin makes a genuine difference when managing stretch during early flower.

HPS users benefit most from extra headroom. HPS bulbs generate significant heat and must be kept well clear of the canopy. LED fixtures are more forgiving but still need adequate distance for uniform coverage. Adding 56cm means you can hang either light type at the correct height without compressing the grow space below.

Grower’s Note: When you extend cabinet height, reassess your extraction rate. A taller internal volume needs slightly more airflow to maintain the same air-change frequency. If your fan is already running at full speed, consider stepping up to the next fan size or adding a second passive intake lower on the cabinet to improve throughput. Also recheck your VPD targets - a taller canopy-to-light distance can affect leaf temperature and transpiration rates at canopy level.
