One irrigation kit that runs drip, ebb & flow, or shallow water culture in your 0.35m² Bonanza cabinet.
Key Features
- Three irrigation modes: drip, ebb & flow, and shallow water culture
- Designed to fit the G-Tools Bonanza 0.35m² grow cabinet footprint
- Supply pump sits in the water tank and serves all three modes
- Drip manifold delivers water to individual pots with targeted drippers
- Ebb & flow tray floods via pump and drains by gravity
- Integrated drainage channels ensure the tray empties fully after each cycle
- Shallow water culture container holds plants in net cups - no substrate required
- SWC overflow drain activates automatically at 4 cm water depth
- Compatible with fabric pots, plastic pots, and net cups
This G-Tools irrigation kit gives Bonanza 0.35m² growers three distinct watering methods from a single purchase. Whether you prefer soil in pots, a flooded tray, or bare-root hydroponics, one system covers all three approaches.
The kit is built specifically for the Bonanza cabinet range but works equally well inside a grow tent or a custom grow space. A supply pump sits in the water tank beneath the tray and does the heavy lifting for all three modes. In drip mode it connects to a manifold that delivers water directly to each pot. Excess runoff returns to the tank, so nothing is wasted.
Switch to ebb & flow and the same pump floods the grow tray to a shallow depth. Plants in pots with drainage holes draw water upward through the medium. When the pump cuts out, gravity pulls the water back down. Built-in drainage channels in the tray prevent standing water, which keeps root zones healthy between cycles. Fabric pots such as Root Pouch perform particularly well here because of their all-round drainage.
The third mode is shallow water culture - sometimes called SWC or NFT-adjacent growing. A lidded container sits on the tray and fills continuously from the pump. Net cups in the lid suspend plants so their roots hang directly into the circulating solution. Once the water level exceeds 4 cm it drains back to the tank automatically. There is no substrate to buy, mix, or dispose of, and water use is very low compared with soil setups.
For timer control in drip or ebb & flow modes, pair this system with the G-Tools Smartbox or a standalone digital timer. In shallow water culture mode the pump runs 24 hours a day, so no timer is needed. A reliable pH/EC combination meter is essential for all three methods - maintaining the correct pH and nutrient concentration directly determines yield quality.
Grower’s Note: Whichever method you choose, monitor your water temperature. Nutrient solutions above 22°C lose dissolved oxygen rapidly and invite pythium root rot. Aim for 18-20°C in the reservoir, especially in summer when cabinet temperatures rise. A small aquarium thermometer in the tank costs very little and removes all guesswork.
