Every Sanlight EVO fixture ships with a dimmer port, and this accessory is the product designed to use it. You connect the dimmer directly to the light, then use the supplied key to cycle between four output levels: 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. Three green indicator LEDs tell you exactly where you are without needing to count knob turns or check an app.

The four steps are genuinely useful across a full grow cycle. Seedlings and rooted cuttings rarely need full intensity. Starting at 40% reduces heat stress and saves power during the weeks when plants are most sensitive. As canopy cover increases, step up to 60%, then 80%, reserving 100% for the flowering or fruiting stage when demand for photons is highest.

The sunrise simulation feature ramps output from zero up to your chosen level over five minutes whenever the timer switches the light on. This is kinder to plants than an instant full-power switch-on, and it mirrors natural dawn conditions. The orange LED on the dimmer body confirms the function is active, so you can verify it without waiting for lights-on.

At 40% output, many EVO panels still deliver more than enough PPFD for propagation at close range - measure with a PAR meter before assuming you need to increase the level.
