Sanlight built the Flex II series around separating the driver from the light tiles. That matters in a tent or grow room because drivers generate heat. Mounting this 240W unit outside the canopy zone keeps your growing space cooler and your tiles running efficiently.

Capacity planning is straightforward. If you are running smaller Flex II 10 tiles across a wide, low ceiling, one driver handles up to 22 of them. Step up to Flex II 20 tiles and you get 11 per driver. Choose the larger Flex II 25 and nine tiles share the 240W load. This makes it easy to design a light plan that fills your footprint without overshooting your wattage budget.

For medium-sized rooms or tents in the 1.2m x 1.2m to 1.5m x 1.5m range, a single Flex II Driver 240W paired with a carefully chosen tile count typically provides the wattage density that leafy crops and flowering plants need. Larger spaces may require two drivers running in parallel, each independently wired to its own tile array.

Pair this driver with a Sanlight dimmer or controller if you want to adjust intensity across the full tile array from one point. That is particularly useful when moving plants between propagation and flowering stages without physically repositioning tiles.

Grower’s Note: With remote-driver LED systems, keep the driver in a well-ventilated spot outside the canopy. Elevated driver temperatures reduce lifespan over time. A short, tidy cable run between driver and tiles also minimises resistive losses, keeping delivered wattage as close to rated output as possible.
