- Bar length: 1345mm - fits G-Cloner cabinet width precisely
- Minimum hanging distance: 15cm above the canopy
- Spectrum: far-red and red biased for root development and early growth
- No built-in driver - requires separate 150W, 240W, or 320W Sanlight driver
- Modular: bars link via splitters, max 3 bars per splitter
- IP68-rated installation when unused ports sealed with Sanlight end caps
- Compatible with up to 4 growing floors in a G-Cloner multi-layer system
- Suitable for germination, microgreens, sprouts, herbs, leafy greens, and pre-veg
The Sanlight Flex II 25 is a 25W, 1345mm LED bar built specifically for multi-layer growing systems, germination, microgreens, and pre-veg. If you are running a G-Cloner or any tiered growing cabinet, this is the light to investigate first.
At only 25W, the Flex II 25 produces so little radiant heat that you can position it just 15cm above the crop without risk of burn. That tight hanging distance is what makes tiered cultivation practical. Inside a G-Cloner cabinet, four separate growing floors become viable, dramatically increasing the number of plants you can cycle through a single cabinet at one time.
The spectrum is weighted with a purposeful far-red to red balance. This combination promotes faster root initiation and vigorous early-stage growth, making the Flex II 25 particularly effective for germinating seeds, raising sprouts, growing microgreens, and pre-growing cuttings or seedlings before they move into a dedicated veg or bloom space. For seed germination and sprout production, two bars per shelf deliver adequate photon flux at 15cm. Step up to three bars per shelf when growing herbs, leafy greens, or pre-vegging plants that demand higher light levels.
The Flex II 25 does not include a built-in driver, so you will need to add one separately. Sanlight offer three driver options: 150W, 240W, and 320W. Divide the driver wattage by 25W per bar to find your maximum bar count - the 150W driver handles up to 6 bars, the 240W driver up to 9. You will also need splitters to branch bars across a shelf, with each splitter handling a maximum of 3 bars. Unused splitter ports should be sealed with Sanlight end caps to preserve the IP68 rating of the completed installation.
The 1345mm bar length is not a coincidence - it is sized to sit flush inside the G-Cloner cabinet, making it the natural companion light for that system. If you are building a custom tiered rack instead, measure your shelf depth first to confirm the fit. Because the modular cabling is sold separately, you can tailor the exact cable runs and splitter count to your specific build. It takes a little planning upfront, but the result is a clean, professional installation suited precisely to your growing needs.
Grower’s Note: For microgreens and sprouts, light uniformity matters more than peak intensity. Keep bars parallel and evenly spaced across the shelf rather than clustered centrally. At 15cm distance with two Flex II 25 bars, you achieve a reasonably even spread - but if you notice uneven germination or patchy growth towards shelf edges, a third bar will fill the gaps without any risk of light stress at this power level.
