- Minimum hanging distance: 15cm above canopy without burn risk
- Spectrum: optimised far-red to red ratio for root formation and early growth
- Driver sold separately: compatible with 150W (up to 15 bars) or 240W (up to 24 bars) options
- Splitter connects up to 3 bars per shelf level; 4th port chains to next floor
- IP68-rated connections when sealed with Sanlight end caps
- Suitable for germination, microgreens, sprouts, herbs, leafy greens, and vegetative pre-growth
- Modular and scalable: expand bar count as your growing system grows
The Sanlight Flex II 10 is a 10W modular LED bar built for vertical growing, propagation, and microgreen production. If you run a multi-layer system or want low-profile lighting that sits tight above seedlings, this is the bar to start with.
At 547mm long and just 10W per bar, the Flex II 10 is engineered for situations where space between shelves is limited. A hanging distance of 15cm is enough to avoid heat stress, which means you can stack up to four growing levels inside a G-Tools Bonanza 0.35 cabinet. That dramatically increases your output per square metre without needing a larger footprint.
The spectrum is weighted towards red and far-red wavelengths. This combination promotes faster root development and compact early-stage growth - exactly what you need for germination, microgreens, sprouts, and pre-growth before plants move to a flowering room. For seeds and sprouts, two bars per shelf level is sufficient. For herbs, leafy greens, or vegetative pre-growth, three bars per level gives better canopy coverage.
The Flex II 10 does not include a built-in driver - you purchase that separately. A 150W driver powers up to 15 bars; a 240W driver handles up to 24. Each splitter connects up to three bars on a single level, with the fourth port used to link floors together via an interconnect cable. Unused splitter ports should be sealed with Sanlight end caps to preserve the IP68 rating of the installation. It takes a few minutes to plan the wiring, but the system is logical once you map out your shelf count and bar count per level.
This bar pairs naturally with the G-Tools Bonanza 0.35, which it was sized to fit. If you are building a larger multi-layer rack, the same Flex II series scales across wider configurations using the same driver and splitter ecosystem. We stock the matching drivers, splitters, interconnect cables, and end caps - contact us if you want help specifying the right combination for your setup.
Grower’s Note: For microgreens and sprouts, keep the bars at 12-15cm above the tray surface and aim for a light period of 16-18 hours. At that distance the measured PPFD is adequate for fast germination without stretching. If you are using the Flex II 10 for pre-growth of cuttings or young plants, consider stepping up to three bars per shelf early - undershooting light levels at this stage can cause internodal stretching that is difficult to correct later.
