Prima Klima PK200-ECblue Inline Extractor Fan 1350m³/h
200mm EC inline fan delivering 1350m³/h with stepless speed control and RJ45 digital connectivity.
Key Features
- 200mm inlet/outlet diameter
- Maximum airflow: 1350m³/h
- EC (electronically commutated) motor for high part-load efficiency
- Stepless speed adjustment from 0% to 100% of rated capacity
- RJ45 port for ECTC-1 digital temperature controller (sold separately)
- Temperature-triggered automatic speed ramping between user-defined min and max
- Controller mounts remotely - fan installs at ceiling height independently
- Fewer wear parts than AC motors; no carbon brushes
- Compatible with 200mm carbon filters and acoustic ducting
The PK200-ECblue is a 200mm EC inline fan rated at 1350m³/h, built for growers who want genuine climate control rather than simple on/off extraction. It suits anyone running a medium to large grow room who wants to automate ventilation around temperature rather than guessing at a fixed speed.
EC motors differ from standard AC motors in one practical way: they convert power efficiently across the entire speed range, not just at full throttle. Run this fan at 50% speed and it uses proportionally less electricity, rather than wasting energy as heat. Savings of up to 50% compared to fixed-speed AC fans are realistic in real-world growing cycles where lights-off periods allow lower airflow.
The RJ45 port is the key feature that separates the ECblue range from basic EC fans. Connect the optional ECTC-1 digital controller and you set a target temperature, a minimum fan speed for lights-off, and a maximum speed for lights-on. The fan responds automatically to the temperature sensor without you touching anything. Because the controller is a separate unit, you can install the fan at ceiling height - where hot air accumulates - and mount the controller at a convenient working height outside the tent or room.
For a 200mm installation, pair this fan with 200mm acoustic ducting to contain noise further. A matching carbon filter on the intake side controls odour. If your grow room runs Sanlight LED fixtures, heat output is lower than with HPS, meaning the fan may spend more time at minimum speed - which is exactly where EC technology proves its worth. The ECTC-1 controller is sold separately; factor that into your budget if you want the full automated climate setup.
Installation is straightforward. Mount the fan inline at the top of the space, connect 200mm ducting to both ports, and run the RJ45 cable to wherever you mount the ECTC-1. Set your minimum speed to maintain baseline air exchange during dark periods, and your maximum speed to handle peak heat during the photoperiod. The fan handles the rest.
Grower’s Note: In a sealed or semi-sealed room, resist the temptation to set minimum speed to zero. A small amount of continuous airflow - even 15-20% - maintains CO₂ distribution, prevents cold spots near the floor, and keeps the canopy dry enough to reduce the risk of Botrytis. Use the minimum speed setting deliberately rather than treating it as an off switch.
