The PK1604 sits in Prima Klima's Industry tier - a step up from their standard Eco filters. At 460 m³/h, it moves a meaningful volume of air through a deep activated carbon bed. That capacity suits grow rooms roughly between 1.5 m² and 3 m², depending on heat load and plant numbers.

Prima Klima have matched this filter specifically to the PK 125 EC-TC fan. That pairing matters. Mismatching filter and fan capacity leads to either stale air or unnecessary noise as the fan works against resistance. Using the recommended combination keeps the system balanced and quiet.

Installation is straightforward. The 125 mm flange accepts standard ducting. Mount the filter at canopy height or above, connect it to the fan with a short duct run, and exhaust to a loft space or outside. Keep duct runs as short and straight as possible to preserve airflow. A pre-filter sleeve over the carbon body extends service life considerably.

Carbon filters do not last indefinitely. In a humid or heavily planted room, plan to replace the filter every 12 to 18 months. If you notice odour break-through before that point, the carbon bed is saturated. Running your room at relative humidity below 70 % slows carbon saturation and stretches filter life.

Grower’s Note: Carbon filters perform best when intake air temperature and humidity are controlled. High humidity causes carbon to absorb water vapour instead of odour compounds, reducing effective life significantly. Keep RH at or below 65-70 % and avoid placing the filter directly above a humid canopy where possible.
