Prima Klima K2605 Carbon Filter 1300 m³/h

The Prima Klima K2605 is a serious carbon filter built for growers running high-volume extraction in larger grow spaces. At 1300 m³/h, it suits commercial-scale tents and rooms where odour control cannot be compromised.

Carbon filtration works through adsorption - not absorption. As air passes through the bed of activated carbon, odour molecules, fine dust, and airborne particles physically bond to the surface of the carbon granules. Because Prima Klima uses only virgin active carbon - material that has never been processed or reclaimed from another industrial use - every batch starts with the highest possible pore count and surface area. That translates directly into better odour removal from the first day of use.

At 1300 m³/h, the K2605 is matched to large extraction setups. Prima Klima recommend pairing it with the PK 200EC Blue Line fan, and that pairing makes sense: a correctly matched fan and filter maintain the static pressure balance needed for genuine odour control. Undersizing your fan against a filter this large will result in slow air turnover; oversizing it will pull air through the carbon too quickly to adsorb effectively. The 200EC Blue Line sits in the right range.

For installation, mount the filter at the top of your grow space where heat and odour naturally accumulate. Run ducting directly from the filter to your fan, then out of the room. Avoid sharp bends in the ducting - each 90-degree turn reduces effective airflow. If you are running a sealed environment, ensure fresh-air intake is balanced against the extraction volume so you maintain slight negative pressure inside the grow space.

The K2605 carries an 8-month rated service life under normal growing conditions. In practice, that lifespan can shorten if the filter is exposed to very high humidity over extended periods - saturated carbon loses adsorption capacity faster. Keep relative humidity below 70% at the filter inlet and you will consistently reach or exceed the rated service period before a replacement is needed.

Grower’s Note: Carbon filters perform best when ambient humidity at the inlet stays controlled. If your extraction air regularly exceeds 70% RH, consider a pre-filter sleeve to protect the carbon bed, and monitor the filter's performance in the final weeks of each cycle - a slight odour breakthrough is the clearest sign that replacement is due.
