The G-Tools Wi-Fi Smart Box gives growers precise remote control over lighting and irrigation from a single unit. It suits anyone running a G-Tools Bonanza cabinet or a tent who wants app-based scheduling without complex controllers.
The Smart Box provides four UK mains sockets in one tidy unit. Two of those sockets deliver continuous power - ideal for keeping an extractor fan or oscillating fan running around the clock. The remaining two sockets are the clever part: each one sits on its own independently programmable channel, one dedicated to your light and one to your irrigation pump.
Programming is done through a free smartphone app. After pairing the box to your home Wi-Fi network, two channels appear in the app - one marked for the light, one for the pump. You set precise on and off times for each. Because it runs over the internet, you can adjust your photoperiod or tweak your watering schedule from wherever you happen to be, whether that is at work or abroad.
Connectivity drops happen. G-Tools have accounted for this by fitting a physical override button to both the light socket and the pump socket. Press the button and the socket toggles on or off immediately, no phone or internet needed. That single detail makes this a genuinely practical piece of kit rather than a frustrating dependency on a signal.
The Smart Box pairs naturally with G-Tools Bonanza grow cabinets, but it works equally well inside any grow tent. Connect your LED driver or HPS ballast to the light channel, wire your nutrient pump or drip timer pump to the irrigation channel, and plug your extraction and fan into the continuous sockets. You have the four most common electrical loads in a grow covered in one unit.
Grower’s Note: When setting watering schedules via the app, keep pump-on durations short and frequent rather than long and infrequent - most hydroponic and coco grows benefit from multiple brief irrigation events per day during the light period. Use the manual override button to run a test flush on a new installation before committing to an automated schedule, so you can confirm flow rates and drainage times are correct.
