The G-Tools PK2601 is a flat-format carbon filter built specifically for compact grow cabinets that demand effective odour control without sacrificing internal space. If you run a G-Tools cabinet with a 125 mm extraction fan and need reliable scrubbing at 360 m³/h, this is the filter the system was designed around.
Most carbon filters are cylindrical and hang vertically, but inside a shallow grow cabinet that arrangement wastes headroom. The PK2601 uses a flat geometry instead, sitting neatly against the cabinet wall or top panel without encroaching on canopy space. That matters when every centimetre of vertical growing room counts.
The activated carbon charge is rated for 8 months of continuous use under normal extraction conditions. That figure assumes the pre-filter sleeve is kept clean. Washing or swapping the sleeve every 4 to 6 weeks prevents dust loading from shortening the carbon's working life. When odour starts breaking through after the 8-month period, the entire filter unit should be replaced rather than recharged.
At 360 m³/h, this filter pairs directly with G-Tools' GT 125 extraction fans. Running the fan at mid-speed keeps negative pressure stable inside the cabinet and ensures all outgoing air passes through the carbon bed rather than bypassing it. A good negative pressure seal on your cabinet door is just as important as the filter itself for truly odour-free extraction.
This filter is purpose-built for G-Tools cabinets, so it integrates without adapters or modification. If you are building a custom small-room setup around a 125 mm fan rated below 360 m³/h, the PK2601 will still work, but the flat profile makes it most useful where a cylindrical unit creates installation problems.
Grower’s Note: Carbon filter efficiency drops quickly if relative humidity inside the cabinet stays above 70 % for extended periods. Moisture competes with odour molecules for active sites on the carbon surface, reducing scrubbing capacity well before the rated 8 months is reached. Keep VPD in a healthy range and the filter will perform as expected throughout its service life.
