Small grow cabinets live or die by their ventilation. A filter that is oversized chokes airflow; one that is undersized lets odours through. The PK2600 is rated at 160 m³/h, which matches the output of the G-Tools mini extractor fan precisely. You get full air turnover without back-pressure losses.

The activated carbon inside the PK2600 is selected for high adsorption capacity. G-Tools rates it for up to 8 months of continuous use before the carbon becomes saturated and needs replacing. In practice, lifespan depends on humidity and the intensity of what you are growing, but 8 months is a realistic target in a well-controlled environment. Keep relative humidity below 70 % to get the most from the carbon bed.

Setup is straightforward. The pre-filter sleeve fits over the outside of the unit and should be the first thing you replace when airflow starts to drop - usually every 4 to 6 weeks. Washing and reusing the pre-filter sleeve keeps the carbon itself clean and extends its working life noticeably. The filter connects directly into the ducting of the Bonanza 0.35 cabinet with no adaptors required.

Grower’s Note: Carbon filters work best when air passes through at the rated speed - too fast and odour molecules do not contact the carbon long enough to be adsorbed. If your fan is variable-speed, running it at around 80 % of maximum often gives better odour control than full speed while still maintaining adequate air changes per hour.
