The PK125 EC-TC is G-Tools' flagship 125mm extractor fan, pairing a professional-grade Swiss motor with integrated thermostat logic. It suits growers who want precise, automated climate control without adding a separate fan controller.
At its core, the PK125 EC-TC is built around a Ziehl & Abegg EC motor made in Switzerland. EC (electronically commutated) motors are fundamentally more efficient than standard AC fan motors. They also dim cleanly across their full speed range without the low-frequency hum that plagues cheaper units running on basic voltage controllers.
The backwards-curved blade design generates strong hydraulic pressure. In practice this means airflow stays high even when the fan is connected to a carbon filter and a metre or two of 125mm ducting - a combination that chokes many budget fans noticeably. Real extraction figures remain close to the rated 680 m³/h under normal filter-and-duct loads.
The integrated thermostat gives you two set points: a minimum running speed and a trigger temperature. Below your target temperature the fan runs quietly at its minimum RPM, reducing noise and power draw. Once the sensor detects the room warming past your set point it ramps straight to full power. A separate potentiometer lets you cap the maximum RPM and therefore wattage - anywhere between 20 W and 170 W - so you can match extraction to your actual grow space rather than always running flat out.
This fan is the factory-fitted extractor in all G-Kit 600, 800 and 1200 Wing grow cabinets, so it pairs directly with G-Tools' GT125 controller if you want external speed management instead of using the onboard thermostat. For a straightforward 0.6-1.2 m² tent or cabinet running a single HPS or LED fixture, the PK125 EC-TC is a complete ventilation solution in one unit.
Grower’s Note: With EC fans that have a built-in thermostat, place the temperature sensor at canopy level rather than near the fan intake. Heat rises, and a sensor mounted high near the ducting outlet will read warmer than your plants actually experience. Canopy-level placement gives you the most accurate trigger point and prevents unnecessary full-speed cycling.
