At the heart of this bundle is a ZIEHL-ABEGG EC motor. EC technology means the motor converts power to airflow far more efficiently than a standard AC fan. The result is lower electricity bills and less heat added to your grow space. The fan's backward-curved impeller maintains strong static pressure even when the speed is reduced, so airflow through your ducting stays consistent.

The integrated controller handles both fan speed and temperature response. You set a target temperature; the fan ramps up or down automatically. There is no separate speed controller to wire in and no humming when the fan is dimmed - a common frustration with traditional inline fans. All connections and the capacitor sit inside the polyamide housing, keeping the installation tidy and the electrics protected.

The Prima Klima K1604 filter covers a 460-700 m³/h range, which brackets the fan's 680 m³/h output perfectly. The 4 cm carbon bed is packed with activated carbon derived from coconut shells. Coconut-shell carbon has a dense micropore structure that excels at trapping volatile organic compounds. The metal inner frame stops the carbon bed from shifting or compressing, which would create bypass channels and reduce effectiveness.

Grower’s Note: Plan to replace the carbon bed every 12 months under normal growing conditions, even though the activated carbon can technically last up to 24 months. Odour control tends to degrade gradually, and you often notice the drop only once smell has already escaped. In humid rooms above 65 % RH, vacuum the pre-filter sleeve monthly to stop moisture-laden dust from clogging the outer carbon layer prematurely.
