G-Tools ECTC-1M Digital Fan Controller for ECblue Fans
Remote temperature-based speed control for G-Tools ECblue fans via RJ45 connection.
Key Features
- Compatible with all G-Tools ECblue fans fitted with an RJ45 port
- Digital temperature sensor triggers automatic speed changes
- Minimum speed settable from 0% to 100% of fan capacity
- Maximum speed settable from 0% to 100% of fan capacity
- Controller unit mounts separately from the fan for easy access
- Allows climate monitoring from outside the grow space
- No built-in controller required in the fan itself - cleaner installation
- Ideal for grow rooms and cabinets where the extraction point is hard to reach
The ECTC-1M is a dedicated digital fan controller built specifically for G-Tools ECblue extraction fans. It suits any grower who wants precise, temperature-driven ventilation without reaching up to the fan to make adjustments.
ECblue fans ship with an RJ45 socket built in. Plug the ECTC-1M into that socket and you gain full digital control over running speed. No wiring adaptors, no third-party interfaces - the connection is direct and the communication is clean.
You set two temperatures and two speeds. Below your target temperature - typically the lights-off period - the fan holds the minimum speed you choose. Above that target - lights on, heat building - the fan steps up to your maximum speed. Both values are freely adjustable between 0% and 100% of the fan's rated capacity, so you can dial in exactly the airflow your space needs rather than settling for fixed presets.
The real-world advantage here is placement flexibility. ECblue fans work best installed high up in a grow room or cabinet, where warm air collects. That position is often awkward to reach. With the ECTC-1M, you mount the controller at a comfortable height on the wall or cabinet panel. You keep eyes on the temperature readout and make changes without a ladder or contortion.
Pair this controller with your G-Tools ECblue inline fan and a quality carbon filter for a complete extraction setup. If you are running a G-Tools Bonanza or similar grow cabinet with an ECblue fan already installed, the ECTC-1M is the natural companion to bring proper climate management into that system.
Grower’s Note: Temperature differential between lights-on and lights-off periods can exceed 8-10°C in a sealed tent. Setting your minimum speed too low during lights-off risks humidity build-up and stagnant air. Keep minimum speed high enough to maintain steady air exchange - around 30-40% is a reasonable starting point for most small to medium enclosures - then fine-tune based on your VPD readings.
