The fan is built around a German EBM Pabst motor fitted with a backward-formed impeller. That impeller design moves up to 15% more air than a standard forward-curved blade at the same wattage. At 420 m³/h through a 125 mm duct, it handles the heat and humidity load of a single 600 W HPS or equivalent LED grow comfortably.
The integrated thermostat controller is what sets this fan apart from a basic speed-control unit. You dial in a target temperature and a minimum running speed. Below your set temperature the fan holds that minimum speed, keeping air moving steadily without over-cooling the canopy. When heat rises above your threshold, the fan ramps straight to full speed. This is particularly useful when lights cycle off and the room cools sharply - the fan does not drop to zero and stall your ventilation.

Grower’s Note: Carbon filters work best when air passes through the bed slowly enough for the carbon to absorb odour molecules fully. Running this fan at minimum speed during lights-off is good practice - it keeps a small negative pressure in the tent and prolongs filter life. Replace the filter when you notice odour breakthrough, typically after 12-18 months of continuous use depending on crop load and humidity. High humidity above 70% RH accelerates carbon saturation, so keep your climate in check and the filter will last its full service life.
