This G-Tools 125mm combo pairs a Prima Klima 2-speed inline fan with a matched Eco carbon filter in one ready-to-run ventilation kit. It suits growers running medium-sized tents who need reliable odour control without excessive noise.
The fan at the heart of this set is built around a German EBM motor with a backward-formed impeller. That impeller geometry moves up to 15% more air per watt than a conventional forward-swept design. At full speed the unit pushes 400 m³/h through 125mm ducting. Drop it to the lower speed setting and noise falls noticeably while airflow remains adequate for most growing situations.
The Prima Klima Eco carbon filter is sized to match the 125mm flange exactly. A correctly matched flange is important because any reduction in diameter at the filter inlet is the single biggest restriction in a ventilation circuit. The activated carbon bed adsorbs odours, spores, and fine allergens before air leaves the grow space. The more activated carbon present in a filter, the faster and more completely it captures airborne contaminants - the Eco filter carries a usable carbon bed suited to the 400 m³/h flow rating of this fan.
Installation is straightforward. Mount the carbon filter inside the tent using the supplied straps or a hanging kit, connect 125mm ducting to the fan inlet, and run ducting to your exhaust point. The fan arrives with a wired mains lead and a wall mounting bracket, so no extra cabling work is needed. G-Tools does advise fitting an acoustic silencer in the ducting run if noise is a priority - the fan is quiet for its class, but turbulence in the duct itself can add to the overall sound level.
This kit is a sensible pairing for tents in the 1.0 m × 1.0 m to 1.2 m × 1.2 m range. For larger spaces, step up to the 150mm version of this set. If you are running a Sanlight LED fixture above the canopy, the gentler heat load compared with HPS means the lower fan speed is often sufficient during the cooler months, helping the filter last longer between replacements.
Grower’s Note: Carbon filters have a finite lifespan. Running the fan on the lower speed setting where your climate allows it reduces the volume of air passed through the carbon bed each day, extending filter life noticeably. In humid conditions above 70% RH the carbon can become moisture-saturated and lose adsorption efficiency, so always pair this system with good humidity management inside the tent.
