The G-bars 170W is a four-bar LED panel built specifically for 60×60cm cabinets and small tents. Its combination of Osram full-spectrum chips, a CRI of 85.5, and a built-in four-stage dimmer makes it equally capable from seedling stage through to late flower.
This light suits growers working in compact spaces who want genuine spectrum quality without stepping up to a much larger fixture. The four LED bars sit on a rigid frame, spaced well apart to spread light evenly across the full 60×60cm footprint. Because the beam angle is wide, you can position the fixture closer to your canopy than a traditional panel - cutting transport loss and getting more usable photons onto your leaves.
The dimmer gives you four fixed output settings: 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%. In early vegetative growth, running at 40% or 60% keeps intensity appropriate for young plants and cuts your electricity draw significantly. As the canopy fills out and the plants move into flower, step up through 80% and 100% to meet the higher light demands. This staged approach also lets you run mixed crops - herbs and leafy greens at lower output alongside flowering plants dialled up higher.
Osram full-spectrum LEDs underpin the performance here. The CRI of 85.5 means the light covers a much broader range of wavelengths than red-and-blue-only grow lights. Plants use those additional wavelengths for processes beyond basic growth and flowering, and the broader spectrum supports healthier foliage with a natural green appearance rather than the purple cast you see under narrow-spectrum LEDs. A small number of dedicated red LEDs are included to support flowering response.
For a 60×60cm tent or cabinet, pair this light with a small inline fan rated around 100-150m³/h to manage heat, and a basic timer to control your photoperiod. If you are growing in a G-Tools Bonanza or a similar compact cabinet, this fixture fits the footprint precisely. Growers using coco or hydroponic systems in this size space will find 170W at full power more than adequate for a productive single-plant or multi-herb setup.
Grower’s Note: With four-stage dimming, resist the urge to run at 100% throughout the entire cycle. Starting seedlings at 40% for the first two weeks reduces the risk of light stress and encourages strong root development before you increase intensity. Step up to 80% once true leaves are established, and reserve 100% for the final four to six weeks of flower when plants can genuinely use the extra photon flux.
